Music has long inspired courage and provided solace in times of struggle and change. The 2016-2017 Levine Presents series: The Power of Music: Protest, Propaganda, Promise explores the many roles music plays in times of conflict.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
