The City of Gaithersburg presents two Farmers Markets, providing residents with locally grown produce throughout the growing season. The variety of fruits and vegetables changes weekly as different crops reach maturity.
The Main Street Farmers and Artists Market is open Saturdays, year round, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll find it in the Main Street Pavilion at 301 Main Street, one block off of Kentlands Boulevard, with several local farms, kitchens, and a variety of local artists with unique handcrafted items. Products available for purchase include a vast assortment of fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, various herbs, cut flowers, and potted plants, baked goods, crab cakes, dog treats, meat, pickles, eggs, and honey. Our arts and craft vendors sell jewelry, photographs, health and beauty products, knitted items, quilts, purses, woodworking items, clothing, children’s accessories, yard art, and more!
New this year, Main Street will also host a Holiday Market on Saturdays, December 2 – 23, 2017. In addition to our regular market offerings, the City will also host additional handmade gift vendors, live music, arts and crafts activities, and other special visitors.
The market accepts WIC, FVC and FMNP checks. Scenic View Orchards at Fulks Corner Market in Olde Towne also accepts Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds to purchase fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables.
