Memories

The Glen Echo Park Partnership is pleased to present Memories by Emma Cowan. The show incorporates texture and textual memories to create paintings that long for the past, and celebrate the power or memory. Each piece uses a mixture of layered color blocking and imagined fonts inspired by old signage. These bits of text reference a time or a place, either imaginary or real. Through references to homespun signage mixed with abstract expression there is an attempt to fuse commercial and high art.
