The Pirates of Penzance

Gilbert & Sullivan’s beloved operetta gets a hilarious 21st-century update with this fun-filled, family-friendly 70-minute reimagination by Chicago-based company The Hypocrites.  For delightful summertime fun, lounge in a beach-ball mosh pit while ten actors sing about sappy pirates, dewy-eyed damsels, and of course, a very stuffy Modern Major General.  (For the best experience, ask for ‘promenade seats’:  share the stage with the actors, and find yourself part of the action!)
