Laugh and cry at odd educational films from the 1940s-60s!

Continuing with our seasonal series with C-SPAN’s Richard Hall, we present a screening of short, educational films from the ‘40s, ‘50s, and ‘60s that range in tone from funny and ridiculous to surprisingly frank and honest. These clips are a window into life in post-WWII America. And, if you’ve been before, fear not, films not screened before will be presented at the event!

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
