An exhibit of artwork by eighth grade students from the Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences will be on display from March 16 through March 25. Artwork created by elementary, middle, and high school students from Montgomery County Public Schools will be on display from March 30 through April 8. Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March promoting art and art education in the United States, emphasizing the value of art education for all children, encouraging support for quality school art programs, and recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences that are not possible in other curriculum subjects. Sponsored by the National Art Education Association, activities include a national Flag Design Contest with 50 winning state flags displayed in Washington, DC.
