The United States will have it’s first total solar eclipse in 26 years. Gaithersburg will be at 80% totality so join us for an afternoon of solar related activities and solar observations as well as safe solar viewers for participants.
There will be many hands-on activities, experiments, and make and take projects. Since this is such an extraordinary Teachable Moment, we try to hold this event even in less than optimal viewing conditions.
GCM is being joined by Rockville Science Center in presenting the STEM activities that will be happening that day.
