RevelsKids@Home Virtual Workshops

Our virtual workshops for children weave together song, dance, crafting and storytelling in an interactive virtual setting that allows young Revelers to explore the arts and the natural world around them and to learn about and celebrate the many Fall world holidays from tradition bearers in the Revels community right from their own homes!

Final “Sankta Lucia Festival” on Sunday, December 13, 4:30-5:30 PM

Workshop Levels:

Little Dragons – Ages 3-5, Fridays from 4:30-5:30 PM with Teaching Artists Christine Alexander
Hobby Horses – Ages 6-9, Mondays from 4:30-5:30 PM with Teaching Artist Andres Ponce
Jesters – Ages 10-13, Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 PM with Teaching Artists Aryn Geier

December Activities:

Sankta Lucia Festival
On December 13, the Fall workshops will present a special Sankta Lucia Festival. Little Dragons will share a song about the Tomtes, tiny Scandinavian caretakers who come out only in Winter; Hobby Horses will present a magical story; and Jesters will become Luciadagen (Luci’s daughters) and Starboys and act out the events of the day, with adults getting a special treat!
Sunday Family Sings
RevelsKids@Home participants and their families are also invited to come together virtually on Sunday afternoons in December to learn the audience songs for the Winter Solstice Revels, learn to make ribbon sticks, Solstice decorations, and more! Families can practice the songs together to get ready for the joyous Solstice Revels, our participatory virtual performance and a highlight of our Fall “Season of Reveling” on December 20th.
