Audio Editing for Podcasts

Class Description: Sound is a significant part of our lives. It’s embedded in almost every aspect of daily life that we leverage to communicate our stories and political values.

Sign up for this class, so you can learn how to record audio; copy, edit, and add music, sound and more. Students will need to download Audacity (free software) that is available for the Mac or PC. You will also want to have access to a recording device during the class, whether it is a smartphone, a DSLR, or a video camera, as well headphones, and preferably a microphone that is a standalone or part of the recording device is recommended.

This course is great for those who are:

• Creating content, particularly podcasts, web shows and televison programming.
• Interested in optimizing the sound on their media projects.

Location: Online, Live Instruction via Zoom

Prerequisites: Familiarly with Zoom and student must be comfortable interacting with other students
