The Director of Communications drives organizational storytelling both internally and through a variety of media channels. The Director helps to bring life to important aspects of the organization’s work—distilling complex information and framing our work with a particular focus on our education, community engagement, and artist development programs, and major artistic initiatives. Through creative content development and skillful oversight of social media and several print and digital platforms, the Director will aim to strengthen awareness and build connection with the public. The Director also writes and distributes press materials, pitches stories, prepares staff for interviews, advises staff regarding messaging, and secures positive press for Strathmore. The Communications Director is a key member of the Communications & Marketing team, reporting to the Vice President of Communications & Marketing and overseeing the work of other team members.
This is an exempt, salaried position. Salary is commensurate with experience, in the range of $65,000-75,000 annually with a competitive benefits package.
