Hillside Court Playground Project

Richmond’s Public Art Commission is commissioning a permanent public art installation at the Hillside Court Community playground that is currently under construction. The playground (located at 1500 Harwood St, Richmond, VA) is the heart of the Hillside Court Apartments and serves as a central community gathering spot for the neighborhood. Artists throughout Central Virginia (City of Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, New Kent and Charles City) are invited to submit a preliminary proposal for consideration. Two to three finalists will receive $500 each to develop a more comprehensive proposal for final consideration.

Project Budget $50,000 (inclusive of all artist fees, materials, insurance, fabrication, installation, travel and all other project-related expenses)
