Position Description

The Museum Educator (Part time) joins the Museum at an exciting time of transition and expansion. With new leadership and a new vision for impact, the Museum is committed to offering curriculum, programs and experiences that educate and inspire future generations of building industry professionals and community leaders. The Museum Educator (Part time) operates under the direction of the Vice President of Education and Engagement. The Museum Educator (Part time) is an energetic, collaborative, and extremely organized individual who facilitates and manages the execution of education programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and delivers on-site youth engagement and education programs.
  • Uses knowledge of the principles, and practices pertaining to museum education and interpretive practices, in hands-on, inquiry-driven, and mission-driven learning experiences.
  • Presents high-quality education and engagement programming and effectively manages instructional materials.
  • Documents program evaluations and makes recommendations for improvements in a timely manner.
  • Effectively executes some administrative responsibilities related to education and engagement programs.
  • Effectively applies organizational and problem-solving skills.
