Coaching in the arts and culture field was largely inaccessible for a long time. Not only was there a lack of coaches with real expertise in the sector, but the cost of working with them was just too high for many members of our community. NAS has experienced firsthand the value of coaching for arts and culture organizations, believes deeply in its transformative power, and decided to create a coaching offering designed to meet the needs of our field.
To do this, NAS rigorously trained the first ever cohort of coaches that are arts and culture leaders themselves, and have the lived experience needed to support clients working to redefine the structures, practices, and policies of the status quo. Our coaches are currently working with clients at price points below traditional market rates, and we’re actively working with funders to help subsidize costs to create a pay-what-you-can model moving forward.
We believe that everyone doing the work of arts and culture is worthy of coaching, and hope to make it as accessible as possible for all.
