We’re looking for a community-minded writer to join The Writer’s Center family as our full-time Office Manager. If you’re an outgoing, friendly, and organized writer, we’d love to hear from you! The Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center.
BUSINESS & OPERATIONS
- Provide customer service
- Act as a public face of the Center, greeting members, workshop participants, and walk-ins
- Answer phone and respond to email inquiries
- Manage part-time Customer Service Associates
- Provide basic IT support and coordinate with vendors
- Basic bookkeeping
- Maintain physical and virtual file systems and databases
- Additional duties as required
FACILITIES
- Order/restock office supplies inventory and anticipate supply needs
- Oversee general repair and upkeep and coordinate with vendors
THEATER AND RENTAL SPACE MANAGEMENT
- Review and respond to all inquiries regarding rentals
- Create and manage rental contracts
- Create invoices and oversee billing
GENERAL
- Assist with events and special programming
- Represent the Center at literary and community events
- Foster new connections with the DMV and national literary communities
- Preferred experience with: Quickbooks, Bill.com, DonorPerfect, WordPress, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Adobe, DocuSign
