Open Call for Artisan Crafters

BlackRock Center for the Arts is now accepting entries for the juried exhibition "HandCrafted:" (exhibit will be on view MAR 5 – APR 15, 2022). Entry Deadline: February 13th.

EXHIBITION OVERVIEW

Handcrafted: is a regional exhibition open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia and NYC.

This exhibition seeks to highlight contemporary practices that in some way blur the traditional lines between craft and fine art through material, process and / or concept.

Artists may submit up to 3 works using traditional and/or non-traditional materials. Both hanging and pedestal works will be considered. All artwork must be original and have been created within the past three years.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC and NYC.

GALLERY SPACE

The Kay Gallery is a 1500 square foot exhibition space with 16-foot-high walls topped by clerestory windows.

ENTRY FEE

$20 (up to 3 works per entry) non-refundable.
