The Shakespeare Theatre Company seeks candidates for the position of Production Administrator. This position is part of the production management team and reports to the Associate Director of Production. Primary duties include processing and submitting requests to accounts payable, processing and submitting payroll and new hire paperwork to human resources, and keeping an up-to-date database of all accounts in a custom Microsoft Access database. The Production Administrator will also assist the Senior Director of Production and Associate Director of Production with creating and tracking USA/SDC contracts, will attend and take minutes at meetings as necessary, and will create and maintain the scheduling of all Shakespeare Theatre Company buildings in our event management system. From time to time, this position will assist with backstage management and/or production management of company presentations, assist with scheduling and tracking department-wide safety initiatives and trainings, provide general production department support, including arranging necessary permits and working with vendors, and help support additional production projects as needed. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $44,000.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience and training, at least one year of work experience in a professional performing arts setting, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in theatre production, financial tracking, EMS, USA/SDC agreements, and Microsoft Access or other database management is preferred. The ideal candidate will have the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects with attention to detail, work accurately and efficiently, and meet deadlines. We hope to find a collaborative problem solver with the ability to drive projects forward and to liaise confidently, courteously, and confidentially with internal and external stakeholders. This position will be required to work some evening and weekend hours. Please note, Shakespeare Theatre Company requires that all employees must be fully vaccinated.
