This position is ideal for those interested in supporting the fields of creative aging and non-profit arts administration. It would be a fit for early career candidates and/or a motivated college or graduate level student with a flexible schedule. It is a part-time position in 2023 to start, and our goal is to transition the role into full-time starting in 2024, contingent on positive employee performance and budget approval. The position has a telework schedule including office hours at our administrative headquarters in Rockville, MD.

The Creative Connections Project covers work with between 30-40 new clients with a total of 120-160 workshops over two years. It is focused on piloting programming led by trained teaching artists with older adults most vulnerable to health conditions from social isolation who are living in long-term care communities, and their caregivers. The project assistant provides programming and logistical support for the creation of live virtual and in-person multidisciplinary, participatory, and inclusive arts programs as part of the Creative Connections Project. Workshops take place Monday through Friday between 9:00a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The work schedule is flexible based on mutually agreed upon terms, for 20-30 hours per week
