If you hear one Mozart concert this year, it must be this one! The artists from the American Center for Puccini Studies will present a stunning array of the most beautiful vocal music ever written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The most spectacular solo arias, duets, trios, and larger ensembles from his three Da Ponte operas – Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Cosi fan tutte – will be presented, along with favorites from his German operas, as well. In addition, highlights from the world premiere English performing edition of Mozart’s early Singspiel, Bastien and Bastienne, as prepared by ACPS Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Harry N. Dunstan, will also be featured. Mozart concert arias – his version of the Shakespearean sonnet – will round out this most spectacular of concerts. Dr. Dunstan will offer accompanying commentary throughout the afternoon. This concert is so good, even Salieri would enjoy it!
