Abstracted Art Exhibition Opening Reception

Please join us for a free opening reception for ABSTRACTED, a group exhibition featuring a diverse range of abstract artwork by Seemen Hashem, Steve Wanna, Elroy Williams, and students from the VisAbility Art Lab.

Hashem transforms discarded musical instruments, bicycle parts, and other found objects into unique sculptural forms. Wanna will display mixed-media work and a site-specific suspended installation that incorporate elements of “controlled randomness.”

Williams’ large abstract paintings convey his passion for life and perseverance in the face of adversity. The VisAbility Art Lab in Rockville teaches art workshops for adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities.
