BSO Presents Mendelssohn Violin Concerto

Legendary violinist Gil Shaham performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, often called the most perfect violin concerto ever written.

Shostakovich confounded the expectations of the Soviet authorities, who were expecting a big, triumphant symphony saluting Stalin, with his Ninth, the lightest and brightest of his symphonies. Legendary violinist Gil Shaham performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, often called the most perfect violin concerto ever written. Haydn’s penultimate symphony, known as the “Drumroll,” features high spirits, drama and a brilliantly dynamic finale.

Parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage is $5.20 during the week and free on weekends. Strathmore is also accessible via Metro's Red Line, Grosvenor-Strathmore station.

Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
