Conflux: Indian, Jazz, and Classical Improvisation

A common language of improvisation blurs the boundaries between Indian music, jazz and contemporary classical music. Witness how these styles are interwoven using jazz rhythmic concepts and harmony, Indian ragas, and contemporary classical timbral and compositional ideas.

Performed by Levine faculty artists Noah Getz, saxophone and Pepe Gonzalez, bass, with guest artist Deepak Ram, Indian flute.
