One of Spain’s most acclaimed and innovative flamenco singers, El Cigala has been called “the Sinatra of flamenco” (Billboard).
He began his career singing for dancers in Spain at the invitation of well-known artists such as Cristóbal Reyes and Mario Maya, then rose to international fame in 2003 after releasing Lagrimas Negras, a collaboration with venerable Cuban pianist Bebo Valdés. Parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage is $5.20 during the week and free on weekends. Strathmore is also accessible via Metro's Red Line, Grosvenor-Strathmore station.
Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
