Heritage Days: Glen Echo Park

Saturday, noon-4pm: Stop by the “video station” and record your personal story of visiting Glen Echo Park during the 1970s amusement park era. Children’s crafts, and exhibits & videos on the historic Carousel and Ballroom; Carousel Tour, 10:30-11:30am. Carousel rides till 6pm both days ($). Park open sunrise to sunset.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
