Open house at the last surviving building from the earliest Germantown settlement. The house was built in 1855 and moved to this location in the early 1990s. Old-time crafts & games for children and local stories about the Civil War and Lincoln assassination.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
