Heritage Days: Oakley Cabin African American Museum & Park

Tour the restored log cabin, home to African American tenant families during the late 1800s. Join us and shake, rattle and roll through the afternoon with Arts on a Roll. Enjoy hands-on activities, music and historic games! 1 - 4pm. Park at Mount Zion Park, 5130 Brookeville Road.. Shuttle provided.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
