Academy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning Horton Foote’s one-woman show, A COFFIN IN EGYPT, performed by Jane Squier Bruns. The play recounts the moving and dramatic life of elderly Texas widow Myrtle Bledsoe.

There will be an after play talk back with Jane Squier Bruns, Jack Sbarbori, and Gerald C. Wood on November 18. Gerald C. Wood, distinguished professor of English Emeritus and former director of the Horton Foote Center at Carson-Newman College, edited a casebook on Foote and a collection of the writer's one-act plays. He also published Horton Foote and the Theater of Intimacy. Wood is vice-president of the Horton Foote Society.
