In(Site) Project Series: Sonic Landscapes, Experimental Harmonics, and Musical/Social Activism

VisArts is proud to present, as part of our In(Site) Project Series, an ongoing schedule of concerts.

The series features regional musicians and artists exploring sonic landscapes, experimental harmonics, musical/social activism, “catharsis in the form of ripping rock songs,” and “music that combines the wide-screen panoramic sweep of classical, to the sheer physical thrall of punk.”

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
