Isadora Duncan: In Celebration of Movement by Word Dance Theater [CANCELED]

In celebration of the natural movements of the human body inspired by the natural movements of the Earth, Word Dance Theater expresses heartfelt emotions through dances choreographed by Isadora Duncan, the mother of modern dance. The dance company with their adult and youth students present a collection of dances rooted in inner expression for a magical performance.

Founded in 2000 by award-winning artistic director Cynthia Word, Word Dance Theater has created and performed innovative productions in the D.C. area and beyond. The group brings together some of the best artistic minds in dance, theater, music, and production to create cross-disciplinary works that test creative boundaries for artists and tell stories of the human spirit.
