Labor Day Drawing Show

This exhibit celebrates works in pencil, pastel, pen and ink, and charcoal by instructors and artists of the Yellow Barn.

Every Labor Day, Yellow Barn instructors and Friends of the Yellow Barn members hold a drawing-only show of works in pencil, pastel, pen and ink, and charcoal.  The exhibit celebrates expressive mark making and line quality in all styles: realism, abstraction, cartooning and doodling. Although the Yellow Barn is known for it’s classes in oil, watercolor, and acrylic painting, we ask our artists to put away their paints and draw. PARKING INFO

Glen Echo Park is located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD, 20812 (this is the intersection of Goldsboro Rd and MacArthur Blvd).

From Northern Virginia, take Route 495 to the exit for the Clara Barton Parkway toward Washington, DC. Take the Exit for Glen Echo. Left at the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. and left into Glen Echo Park. The Yellow Barn is next to the stone tower.

From Rockville, take 270 South to 495 south toward Northern Virginia. Take the exit for Glen Echo and the Clara Barton Parkway. Exit at Glen Echo and proceed to the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. Take a left into Glen Echo Park.

From Silver Spring, take East West Highway to Bethesda, turn onto Old Georgetown Road then take a left on Wilson Lane. Follow Wilson Lane for a few miles to MacArthur Blvd. Turn Left onto MacArthur Blvd, then turn right into Glen Echo Park's free parking lot.

Using Public Transportation, take Montgomery County Ride-On bus #29 operating daily from the Friendship Heights metro station on the Red Line.
