The BSO celebrates the great Leon Fleisher’s birthday in an extraordinary concert.

Highlighting the program is Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12, a specialty of Fleisher’s. Led by conductor Peter Oundjian, Brahms’ Second Symphony, full of beautiful melodies and one of the most exuberantly joyful finales, concludes the program.

Parking is in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Garage off Tuckerman Lane for public, ticketed Music Center performances (complimentary) and for other Music Center events, Education Center events, Free Summer Outdoor Concerts, and special events ($5.10, payable by SmarTrip or credit card). Parking is in the Mansion lot off Rockville Pike for ticket office purchases (free, 15-minutes) and events and exhibitions in the Mansion and Backyard Theater (free) on a space-available basis.

Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm. Strathmore is Metro-accessible at Grosvenor-Strathmore Station on the Red Line.
