Night of Music and Storytelling with Georges Collinet

In a festive night of music and storytelilng, legendary African radio host Georges Collinet will share some engaging stories and rare unseen footage from his life of more than 50 years on the air.

Eme and Michael, hosts of the popular Jolly Papa African music program on Takoma Radio, will then lead their DC Highlife Stars and Friends band in a rousing performance. The musicians from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and the United States will play their unique blend of classic highlife and rumba along with newer hits. You’ll need to get off your seat and on your feet! The event is free with a $10 suggested donation to support the performers.
