The Bender JCC presents its 48th season of rising stars and renowned artists in the 2019-2020 concert series that includes familiar faces as well as series debuts. Join us to celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday and for magnificent chamber works by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Liszt, Shostakovich and more. Musicians perform in the Gildenhorn/Speisman Center for the Arts’ intimate Kreeger Auditorium.

Inspiring performances, luminous sound, and exceptional musicianship are the hallmarks of the Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet. Founded in 2002 and renowned for its dynamic interpretations and polished, expansive colors, the group has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation. The Parker Quartet will be joined by members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (Xin Ding and Sheila Fiekowsky, violins; Daniel Getz, viola; and Oliver Aldort, cello) to perform the glorious Mendelssohn Octet.
