Summer Drum Circle Series with Montgomery Parks led by Kristen Arant. Drums provided or bring your own and bring your own chair.

Kristen Arant is a musician and activist whose mission is to facilitate skilled artistry and self-expression and to build camaraderie and community towards the goal of creating social change among students diverse in age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, cultural and religious background.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
