Portals: Waverly Street Gallery Multi-media exhibition

January is when we open the door and step into a new year. With that in mind, the artists of Waverly Street Gallery decided to create a body of work around the concept of Portals. A portal can be a literal opening such as a door or window, which reveals the view from inside to outside, or vice versa. There is a long artistic tradition of this kind of imagery. Portals can also transport someone through an imaginary construct into a world of fantasy. A powerful lens can be a portal to the unseen world of microbes, or the vast expanse of the skies. A more interior approach is the journey into the mind or soul. It is through our unique portals that the members of Waverly Street Gallery enter 2022.
