Richard Weiblinger: Unique Visions

This exhibition showcases photographs from the self-taught artist Richard Weiblinger. Weiblinger prefers subjects that lead to images with chromatic strength and uses creative lighting to not only illuminate the subjects but also to give them a dream-like, surreal quality.

His photographs are most successful when they reveal either the subject’s vibrant colors or subtle elegance. Most of the subjects are photographed using a macro lens. This focuses on the intimate elements of the subject with a shallow and selective depth of field. Weiblinger’s goal is to have viewers look at his work and find a new appreciation of the world around them.
