Rula Jones Exhibit: Conversations with Myself

This series of work is highly influenced by the litany of art history in that it incorporates multiple genres within a single work. Additionally, it has a post pop art sensibility with a minimalist sense of space. The works incorporate photographic transfers, acrylic, watercolor, graphite and colored pencil. Images used are a combination of both appropriated and original images. Comedy is used as a catalyst for making sense of an often confounding, global, post-modern existence.
