A parolee with three days left on his sentence witnesses a police shooting that threatens to ruin a lifelong friendship. This thought-provoking film about gentrification, policing and racism in Oakland, California, was written by and stars lifelong real-life friends, Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal. The duo wrote the screenplay in the mid-2000s, initially to speak for the city of Oakland, which they felt was often misrepresented in film.
The film will be followed by an audience discussion.
