The BSO’s season culminates witha duo of transformative composers – Shostakovich and Bernstein.
The BSO’s season culminates with a duo of transformative composers. Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, celebrated in its time by both repressed audiences and officials alike, is a stunning example of the symphony as artistic salvation. Bernstein’s Slava! and “The Age of Anxiety” use art to cultivate poignant messages that resonate throughout time.
