Social Club in Rockville for Adults with Disabilities

Participants will work collaboratively and explore communication skills as they relate with their friends and peers.

This class is designed for adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)—including autism—and other social and behavioral needs.
Weekly on Wednesdays, May 3 - July 5
7-8:30 pm
No classes May 17 and June 21
Location: Bender JCC of Greater Washington
Tuition: $240 for 8 weeks

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) advocates for better representation of women artists and serves as a vital center for thought leadership, community engagement, and social change.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
