Have an awesome summer at BlackRock and be part of a great team. This is an excellent opportunity for campers entering grades 9-12 to earn Student Service Learning hours and develop great leadership and supervision skills assisting campers between the ages of 4 ½ to 13. CIT programs are available for Arts Journeys, Performing Arts Camp, Multi-Arts Institute, and After Care. There is also one CIT position available for BlackRock and Discovery Sports Center’s Sports Meets the Arts Camp. Experience working with children and an interest in visual art, drama, music, or dance is preferred. CITs must be 14 by the start of their camp session and be entering 9th grade and are required to attend their entire session. CIT’s are considered campers so all camp rules and forms apply.
All CIT’s must attend one Mandatory Training Session. Please select one of the training dates when you register: Thursday, May 25th from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Sunday, June 4th from 2:00-5:00pm, or Tuesday, June 13th from 5:00-8:00pm. You only need to attend one of these sessions.
One and Two Week Sessions
Spaces fill quickly! Register early to avoid disappointment.
Ages: 14-19 (must be 14 and entering 9th grade in the 2016/17 school year)
Tuition: $25 for 1-week camps and extended day, $50 for 2-week camps (prices are for members and non-members)
Dates: June 19th-August 18th (Arts Journeys, Performing Arts, Multi-Arts Institute, After Care and Sports Meets the Arts Camp). No camp on July 4.
Hours: 8:30am to 3:45pm for all camps, 3:15 pm-6:30 pm for After Care. Sports Meets the Arts Camp is from 12:30-4:15 pm.
Please note there is a daily limit to the number of SSL hours a CIT can earn. This limit is exceeded when registering to be a CIT for both a full camp day and After Care. Please consult your camper’s school for regulations.

Multi-Arts Institute: CIT
One week camps with children in grades K-6

After Care: CIT
These CITs are expected to assist campers in a variety of recreational activities including board games, arts and crafts, contests and games.
3:1p PM – 6:30 PM.
After Care CIT’s are dismissed after the last camper of the day is picked up, which may occur before 6:30 PM. After Care CIT’s must be able to sign themselves out once the last camper leaves.
Sports Meets the Arts Camp: CIT
This CIT position is for Sports Meets the Arts Camp, BlackRock’s partnership camp with the Discovery Sports Center and Maryland Soccerplex. Campers in this camp are ages 5-11. Please note this camp is not located at BlackRock Center for the Arts. This CIT will report directly to the Maryland Soccerplex.
There are seven, one week sessions available.

Camp Forms
All health and emergency contact information is now included in our online registration process. If you are registering by phone, please be prepared to answer health-related questions about your camper including their doctor’s name and phone, known allergies, conditions and medications, and the date of their last tetanus shot. If your child does not attend a licensed Maryland public or private school, we will need a completed Immunization Certification Form. If your child needs to keep medication during camp we will need a completed Authorization for Medication Form.
