Travel the world this summer, right in your own backyard! We’ll explore a different country each day through maker projects, traditional games, and authentic foods. Gain skills in woodshop, electronics, and textiles, while making projects like traditional houses, puppets, toys, and more from around the world. The week will culminate in an exciting culture expo for family and friends.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
