The music of Spain. Listening to it is like experiencing time travel. You can imagine yourself consuming the thousand-year old musical drink, a blend of disparate rhythms, melodies and harmonies. The ingredients came from the Arabian peninsula, Ireland, Germany, France, and some say from the Caribbean as well. Perhaps its truly universal origin is the reason why the music of Spain has such an enormous influence upon the music of other nations. Cellist Tanya Anisimova and guitarist Matt Palmer introduce the audience to Spanish-influenced compositions and long time favorites from Spain itself.
