Original story was written in Bengali by one of Bengal\\\’s foremost storytellers: Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Our drama is in English so that all theatergoers can get an idea about the lifestyle, values, mannerisms, music and fashions of Bengal in the early 1900\\\’s while enjoying the storyline.

Synopsis: Bij0ya, a wealthy heiress, was made to believe that her father, at the time of his death, had betrothed her to his best friend’s son- Bilas. However, upon her father’s demise, she started to realize that she’s not so fond of Bilas after all. Instead, she started to feel attracted to Naren, the son of another close friend of her father. Bijoya hesitated to express her feelings for Naren because she didn’t want to go against her father’s last wishes. Besides, Naren seemed to be attracted to another young lady Nalini, whom he befriended because she shared his interest in medicine. Nalini was a rather observant young woman. Please watch keenly how she, along with couple of others benevolent souls, becomes a pivotal figure in channeling Bijoya’s future in the right direction.
