Hollywood prepares for battle, as the German government discovers the subject of Charlie Chaplin’s first talkie!
Best Medicine Rep, Gaithersburg's new home for professional theater, presents a comedy inspired by true events! On the eve of World War II, the nazi consul to Hollywood tries to stop production on Charlie Chaplin's controversial sound film, The Great Dictator. Winner of the 2015 Julie Harris Playwriting Award, the Dayton Playhouse FutureFest, The Consul, The Tramp, and America’s Sweetheart is a comedy about art, business, politics, and what it means to be American.
