The Wondering "Ojo": A Spanish Language Workshop for Young Artists

Explore the Spanish language through creativity and imagination. In this workshop series, kids ages 6-12 will learn Spanish vocabulary through fun, hands-on art activities like printmaking, painting, and embossing. From shapes and colors to family and nature, teaching artists Josarie Molina and Garwin Zamora will introduce participants to a variety of beginner-friendly vocabulary and phrases. Classes will also encourage conversational practice with fun interactive games like “Veo-Veo” (I Spy). Each week will feature new activities and words.
Josaria Molina and Garwin Zamora, from 2Teaching Artists, are a husband and wife team who create objects, projects, and events that bloom in the intersection of art, education, and community engagement. Native Spanish-speakers, they each have 20 years of experience serving children and families through art and education. We speak Spanish and English.
