They Changed the World: They are Immigrants Free Concert

The Montgomery Philharmonic Orchestra will present a free concert at 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, 610 S. Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Free admission, parking, and reception.

Music director Sandra Ragusa and conducting fellow Ryan Tani will present a program in the orchestra's "They Changed the World" series, entitled "They are Immigrants." The program includes: Pulcinella Suite by Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971); Symphony de Chamber No. 5 by Darius Milhaud (1919-1974); Angelica for Strings by Efrain Amaya (b. 1959); and The Darkness of Fury by Reza Vali (b. 1952).
