Third Thursday Poetry Reading [CANCELED]

Local poets Catherine Allen, Jamie Ferrugia, Ginnie Hartman, and Gary Stein will read their original work branching across a diverse array of topics.

Allen, an anthropologist, retired from teaching at George Washington University to devote herself to creative writing. She has published poetry, creative non-fiction, ethnography, and ethnographic drama inspired by her extensive fieldwork in the Peruvian Andes.

Ferrugia retired from Morgan Stanley as a senior vice president to pursue songwriting, poetry, and prose. His poetry and songs have appeared in various publications and projects.

Hartman’s poetry has been published in the Hudson Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and other journals. She is on the creative writing faculty at George Washington University.

Stein published his award-winning book Touring the Shadow Factory in 2019, and his poetry has appeared in many journals, including Poetry, Prairie Schooner, and Poet Lore.
