Glen Echo, Maryland – Glen Echo Park Partnership Galleries presents POP LIFE: A Conversation with Ric Garcia and Fierce Sonia on October 29, 2020 at 6:00pm. The talk will be held virtually on Zoom.
Join us for an evening discussing the pop art collaboration of Ric Garcia and Fierce Sonia. Enjoy an intimate conversation as the artists share the meaning behind their work – dreams, fears and hopes – while at times having a bit of tongue in cheek fun with the topics.
In the Pop Life exhibition presented by Glen Echo Park Partnership Galleries, Washington DC metro area artists Ric Garcia and Fierce Sonia imagine worlds where comic book and fairy tale heroes and heroines are deconstructed and reframed to explore the rhythm of modern life and the differences between genders.
Pop Life is on view in the Partnership’s Popcorn Gallery through November 15, 2020. For more information about Glen Echo Park Partnership Galleries, visit our website: https://glenechopark.org/partnershipgalleries

The Partnership’s galleries reopened on September 4, 2020 after several months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the health and safety of the public and our staff, access to the exhibitions will comply with CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines, which currently require face coverings and limit the number of visitors that can be in each gallery at one time. Visitors can expect possible wait times of up to 10 minutes to enter a gallery. To minimize contact, sales will be made by credit or debit card only. The health and safety of our patrons, artists, and staff remains our top priority.
We are grateful to be able to continue the mission of our galleries: showcasing the work of emerging and established visual artists, including resident artists at Glen Echo Park as well as artists from the greater Washington, D.C. region.
