Peace Mountain Theatre Company (PMTC), a small intimate professional theatre company, serves Montgomery County and the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. PMTC’s mission is to produce quality theatrical productions and educational programs that entertain the senses, engage the mind and touch the heart. We are a theatre with a purpose. PMTC’s theatrical productions address subjects and explore issues that are important to the community and help raise audience awareness. Our Educational Outreach Programs use the talents of our actors, through interaction with the audience, and the theatrical medium, to address relevant and important societal issues in a unique and stimulating manner.

PMTC has produced quality major American plays since 2014, including among others, Arthur Miller’s Tony Award winning play, All My Sons, Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Lost in Yonkers, and Edward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, A Delicate Balance. Our audiences have been loyal and have grown over the years. The average attendance at our last show was 105 per performance. Since its beginning, PMTC has produced one play each year at Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland.  The 2019-2020 Season includes three plays, including Jon Robin Baitz Pulitzer finalist play, Other Desert Cities in December 2019, Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Driving Miss Daisy in May 2020 and Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, Disgraced, in December 2020.
