Symphony of the Potomac (SOTP) is a community based nonprofit orchestra consisting of approximately 80 highly skilled volunteer musicians augmented by a few professionals under the direction of Music Director and Conductor, Joel Lazar. The orchestra is dedicated to providing programming, musical education, and cultural enrichment for residents of the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. SOTP performs four concerts annually, featuring classical symphonies and concerti with world-renowned artists. SOTP performs at the Cultural Arts Center of Montgomery College at Silver Spring. In addition to the four annual concerts, SOTP members have organized smaller ensembles that perform at senior living communities.
